Fresh is best ….

There is nothing like going out into the garden in the morning, foraging around and coming inside with this ……..

Love my curly baby carrots. The strawberries have loved our heatwave last week and have sprung back to life. Now to just keep the bugs from eating them as they ripen!!!!! The girls have started laying again after taking some time off over Christmas (they are very human sometimes) Ha Ha! Bean plants are very giving and with our family of 3 I have a regular supply to keep us going. My garden is small but I feel like it is my little patch of country in the city. Yummmm!!!! Off to decide what to make for dinner this evening.

2014 here we come ………..

Well it is nice to be back after a break. Happy New Year to everyone 😉 Spent a few days in Bright, Victoria (such a beautiful spot and one of my favourites), although it wasn’t long enough!!! Have survived our first heat wave in quite a number of years!!!! Phew, glad that is over and hope there aren’t too many more.

Have made a few Pipkin’s samples, here is a photo of 2 of them in different colourway to my original. I can’t decide which is my favourite – I love them all!

Finishing off my sample for a Stitching Day at Rosebud next month in between redesigning my daughter’s bedroom (of which half the house seems to be full of the ole furniture which we now need to remove). It is the tidiest it’s been in a long time – I wonder how long this will last!!!!!!! (Teenagers!!!!)

Some exciting news ……

I have been invited to join Lisa from Fig ‘n’ Berry Creations to join her at her annual Autumn Stitching Soiree for a day of stitching, fine food & good company.

It is on Saturday 5th April 2014 from 10am till 4pm at the Keystone Hall, 1 Civic Square, Croydon and the cost is $85.00. A $40.00 deposit (non-refundable) is due to secure your place, of which there are only a few left so you had better get in quick if you don’t want to miss out.

For bookings call Lisa on 0410 681 544. There have been patterns designed especially for the day – you receive a great little bag with a kit to help start projects on the day. There are raffle prizes and delicious food to tempt your taste buds. If you want to see some pictures of some of Lisa’s other soiree’s just visit her blog at

I’m really looking forward to it and today spent some time choosing fabrics for some of the projects – can’t show you just yet – it’s a surprise!!!! I may give a sneaky peak closer to the day!

Had better go and sharpen my pencils – the inspiration bug has bitten – back soon.
