Nice & Bright

Thought I’d show you a bright version of my Matryoshka Maidens that are currently on display at Primitive Patches in Mentone. Not sure which colour version is my favourite, but my daughter has her eye on this bright version.

Have started on my Christmas stitchery. Need to get back to it so I can tempt you a little more.

Happy stitching!

Three Little Maids in a Row

This cute threesome are the latest addition to my Matryoshka Maiden pattern range. They are a set of three pincushions ranging in size from 3.5 to 4.5 inches. I have been busy making just a few shop samples. They can be made out of leftover fabrics and look great in a variety of colours. Below are some other versions which can be seen at Mrs Martins Quilt Shop & Blue Willow Cottage.

I now need to get started on some Christmassy fun, so may be missing for a little while as I will be busy stitching some goodies for you to see.

Although it is Spring here in Melbourne, today we have had a visit from Mr Winter and even a sprinkling of snow across our mountain ranges – perfect weather for stitching & quilting. Hope you are nice & warm in your neck of the woods!

Matryoshka Maidens

While I haven’t posted in a little while it has been because I have been busy stitching & making some new patterns, which I can now show you.

The range is entitled “Matryoshka Maidens” and includes the Brooch Kit which you may have seen earlier, a Cushion Set – which can be personalised with a name or word, i.e. Mary, Mum, Love, etc; and an Armchair Sewing Caddy complete with Needlecase & Scissor Charm.

I have had so much fun stitching & making these sweet little maidens. They will be available very soon on my website and are available now from several patchwork shops including, Blue Willow Cottage, Mrs Martin’s Quilt Shop & Craft Haven. I’m sure your local patchwork store would be able to order one in for you if you ask them nicely.

There will also be another addition to the range which has been in production for a little while but not quite finished yet due to all of my sample stitching, so stay tuned. We’re expecting a beautiful weekend here in Melbourne so may be tempted to spend some stitching time out in the sun – what a lovely way to spend the weekend. Hope you enjoy yours!
